The beautiful Nodding Trillium

I was on a hike led by Mary of the Guelph Field Naturalists this past week. We were privileged to be brought to a small patch of the rare Nodding Trillium (Trillium cernuum). Absolutely beautiful and so delicate — really brings meaning to the term ‘Spring ephemeral’.
