Oscar Wilde’s play was amazing when I studied it at school and a delight to see on the silver screen. Some liberties were taken (which I am not 100% positive Wilde would have approved of… the tattoos on the butts for instance… maybe only 99%) but they certainly maintained the spirit of the thing.
I liked the acting of Colin Firth, Rupert Everett and Judi Dench in particular. This bears repeated viewing as Wilde packs the wit in with excessive skill. Recommended.
