There’s a driving problem with speed
you disconnect from the earth
and fail to be in scope
so much so
with all that has tied us to life
over our long run as a species.
We can’t have the time to sense
at 100 kph.
They say we construct ourselves as we go
and if our every day slog goes by too fast
we’ll miss it
and spend all our days
chasing our own breath.
