Wild wind and water
surges excitement into our evening
as we scurry to unplug computers and TV
shut the dark windows
and watch breathless.
We stand
propping open the screen door
and feel the cool and
watch the older trees
drop worn down bits onto the road.
A little let down. Nothing major.
