Today is the ides of March (‘ides’ being a Roman term for the 15th or 13th day of a month–depending on the month). Luckily I’m not Caesar and not liable to hurt through the prophecy of his downfall. The link above is to a rather interesting Wikipedia article which I recommend. But just to be on the safe side I would advise against the eating of Caesar salads or drinking of Bloody Caesar drinks today. Or, in fact, the eating of kaiser buns or rolls since ‘kaiser’ is the way an actual Roman would have pronounced ‘Caesar’.
